The Challenge
This surf school needed a website that was both professional looking and optimized for search engines. There was also a lot of content that needed to be presented to prospects and existing customers in order to reduce the time spent on the phone relaying these details prior to lessons or surf camp. Additionally, the company needed to showcase their unique value to stand out from the growing number of competitors.
Our Approach
We created a custom WordPress website that the client could easily update, and made sure to optimize every page for search engines. A unique design with carefully selected photos and videos showcases the fun of learning to surf. A custom-built API automatically pulls in 5-star reviews from Google, as this company is one of the original and highest-rated surf schools in the area. To avoid showing too much content that would never get read, we broke up the text into sections and used large visuals and bulleted lists to help visitors find the information they needed. Postcards and other collateral were also designed using a consistent brand style.
The Results
The client ranks organically on the first page and in the top positions for their most valuable and high volume search keyword phrases. Customers now book directly on the website and many do not need to call and discuss the details with the owner since they’ve found everything they needed to know online. This has freed up time for the owner and allowed the business to scale and grow each year.
